DESCRIPTION:Das Stadtgeschichtliche Museum Ottweiler lädt zum ersten Forum in diesem Jahr am Freitag\, 22. März 2024 um 19 Uhr im Stadtmuseum\, Linxweilerstraße 5 sehr herzlich ein. Im Mittelpunkt des Abends steht ein berühmt gewordener Sohn unserer Stadt: Johann Heinrich Schmidt\, genannt Fornaro. \n\n\n\nJohann Heinrich erblickte am 2. August 1757 in der damaligen Neumünster Vorstadt das Licht der Welt und verließ im Alter von 17 Jahren seine Geburtsstadt Ottweiler\, um eine Stelle als Hofkabinettsmaler der Landgrafen von Hessen-Darmstadt anzutreten. Dreizehn Jahre später führte ihn sein Weg nach Rom\, wo selbst der große Goethe auf ihn aufmerksam wurde. \n\n\n\nSchülerinnen und Schüler des Illtal-Gymnasiums in Illingen haben unter der Leitung der Lehrerin Julia Gerhardt das Leben und Schaffen Fornaros erforscht und präsentieren an diesem Abend die Ergebnisse ihrer Arbeit. Es erwarten Sie interessante Einblicke in das Wirken des aus Ottweiler stammenden Malers. \n\n\n\nMit diesem Forum will das Ottweiler Stadtmuseum die Erinnerung an den Künstler lebendig halten. Sie sind herzlich eingeladen\, dabei zu sein. Der Eintritt ist frei. Der Vorstand des Ottweiler Stadtmuseums freut sich auf Ihr Kommen.
